Those crucial few minutes....

For Gre and Gmat students, the CAT format of the tests requires them to be alert and attentive and give their best shot during the initial 6-7 questions. These initial questions are very crucial because this is the ‘level setting phase’ i.e as you all know three different types of questions are data based in the computer [ easy, medium and difficult ] and the difficult the level of questions you get, the higher will be the score. Initially more and more right answers you give, you are likely to get ‘difficult level’ questions further but on the contrary if you keep on giving wrong answers for the first 6-7 questions, you would get ‘easy level ’ of questions which is detrimental to your score.
Hence keep your cool, don’t panic, read the questions properly, think logically and spend more than one minute per question if need be. Doesn’t matter but do get it right, its worth it. Remember it is not a ‘hit and run’ phase, it is a think and click phase. Your final score is the outcome of your performance in those crucial few minutes.
